EarthCare Program
CERTIFICATION
Three levels of certification, each of which requires a greater degree of commitment, emphasize consciousness and action.
The UEA "Path To EarthCare" is our recommended ideal approach to care for creation in a ministry or group.
Action steps are unlimited. Review the application in advance for an overview of Level A, B, and C. When applying, be prepared to submit documentation including photos of your efforts.
Any ministry or group can participate in the certification process, whether they own their facility or offer traditional Sunday services.
Upon completion of each level, the congregation will receive a Certificate of Achievement. In addition, the ministry will be recognized on both the UEA website and on our social media channels.
Level A: EarthCare Covenant/Community Commitment Statement–Prayer & Vision
Prayer and Visioning foster spiritual consciousness that inspires the creation of a community covenant, commitment statement, and/or vision statement that is adopted by the spiritual leadership, board of trustees, and the entire community.
Level B: EarthCare Commitment–Inspire, Educate Act
Four consciousness expanding activities are required, in addition to three actions implemented. Raising consciousness can include prayer and visioning sessions, inspirational experiences such as a Sunday service message devoted to care for creation, educational study groups, sharing and promoting beyond the ministry/study group, and annual re-affirming of commitment. Actions implemented vary but are practical and restorative efforts for the earth.
Level C: EarthCare Fulfillment–Inspire, Educate, Act, Share & Reaffirm
Six consciousness expanding activities are required, in addition to six (or more) actions implemented.
