There is an order underpinning all of Creation. It is a natural intelligence, a coded design that allows life to organize, grow, and create more life.
All non-human life forms demonstrate a built-in intelligence that enables them to adjust to their environment, grow through various and fabulous phases, and fill their role in the ecosystem.
Modern humans have largely disconnected from the rhythms of Nature and stepped outside of natural laws but that doesn’t mean those laws aren’t still in our coding. We also have access to Divine Order, the flow and life-architecture that can come when we develop our consciousness of Oneness and increase the depth of our awareness of ourselves as spiritual beings rather than just bodies.

Learning to create the conditions for more Divine Order to flow to and through us can be a tremendous tool in dealing with challenging circumstances in our personal lives and the world around us. One of the core teachings of Unity founders Myrtle and Charles Fillmore was that there is a level of Divine Truth behind all appearances of strife, lack, and hardship.
In traditional Christianity, God is believed to be an entity, a personified being that created and guides the world. Some aspects of Christianity believe Divine Order means God created the world and that God, rather than evolution, is the force actively guiding ongoing developments in nature, including humanity.

In contrast, Unity does not view God/Source/Creator as a human-like being, separate from us, but rather, as a creative, generative force in and through all of creation. Unity has a set of teachings known as the Five Principles.
-
Principle one is that God is Absolute Good, everywhere present.
 -
Principle two is that human beings have a spark of Divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.
Unity calls God/Source/Creator Principle rather than entity and it is in and through all things. With this non-dualistic view, belief in God and evolution are not incompatible and evolution can be viewed as a tool that God/Source/Creator uses in order to further expand Creation and Divine Order. Creation isn’t static, but rather ever-expanding. So are we. So is Divine Order.

Nature provides powerful demonstrations of the power of order and flow.

Leaves drop from trees in autumn and over time break down into nutrients for the soil sustaining the tree.

Winter snow that piles up in mountains melts in the summer sun, flowing down as rivulets, then rivers, and on to the mighty ocean.

Fire burns sections of forest, destroying trees, and also opening up space for meadows and new growth.

"Order is the first law of the universe. Indeed there could be no universe unless its various parts were kept in perfect harmony."

Charles Fillmore, Mysteries of Genesis
As we’re navigating these often-challenging human parts of our journey it can be difficult to stay open to the concept, the hope, of Divine Order.
In Divine Audacity, Linda Martella-Whitsett offers a beautiful insight:

"The order we sense and experience in the natural world is a material representation of spiritual order, the intelligent underlying and overarching, though invisible order out of which all becomes possible. When the material world – and our circumstances – appear random rather than orderly we doubt the reality of spiritual order. The world seems particularly out of order when a child dies before her parents, when an armed assailant opens fire during a public celebration when a limb must be severed to spare the rest of the body, or when a lover leaves inexplicably. Either the universe is unfair or God knows what we do not know."

Martella-Whitsett goes on to note that failing to comprehend Divine Order can lead to externalizing and anthropomorphizing God. We may wonder of it is God’s will that these hard things happen (please see the 12 Powers for the Planet Unit 8 on Will below).
EarthCare: 12 Powers for Our Planet: Unit 8: Will
However, when we remember that God is not a superhuman personality but rather a force in and through all things, we remember that God / Source / Creator is order, the organizing principle in and through all Creation. Many of us have experienced times when it seemed like everything was falling apart, but looking back we see things were actually falling into place. Holding a mustard seed of faith in the possibility of Divine Order is a powerful act.

Metaphysically, order flows through the equation of Mind, Idea, and Expression. When we tune into the Oneness, Divine Mind, we spark an Idea, a thought in and with the Mind of God.
The moment that creative thought comes forth it is already moving toward orderly expression or manifestation. Part of this step is recognizing that we are not just bodies; we are minds. Such awareness opens up space in our consciousness allowing a Divine Idea to form. Ideas held in mind then flow toward expression.

Divine Order is a power we can tap to bring forth a life that is livable and orderly according to Divine pattern. As we elevate and cultivate our consciousness we create conditions for Order to flow more readily to and through our lives regardless of the circumstances we are navigating.
Like all the spiritual powers Order is enhanced in combination. Developing the power of:

-Faith

-Wisdom

-Will

-Imagination

-Release

all enhance our ability to understand Divine Order.

"The Divine law of order working in the subconsciousness unearths buried talents, reveals hidden powers, and paves the way for their expression. The divine law of order coordinates the mind's powers so that new inspirations may come forth and find unhindered recognition … in the conscious mind. "

Cora Fillmore: Christ Enthroned in Man
The master teacher Jesus noted the powerful example of Divine Order presented by nature. In the book of Mathew, he is noted as pointing out that the birds of the air don’t sow or reap or store up wares in barns, but God cares for them. Also, the lilies of the field grow in splendor but neither toil nor spin. Jesus encouraged people to understand that God already knows what we need and to put our emphasis on seeking first the kingdom of heaven rather than material outcomes. The kingdom of heaven represents a state of consciousness in which we are choosing peace and consciously focusing awareness on the truth of ourselves as powerful spiritual beings. The kingdom of heaven is an orderly place.

It’s interesting to note that in Keep a True Lent, which features the twelve spiritual powers, Charles Fillmore listed Divine Law rather than Divine Order.

"Divine law is the logical process by which Divine principle, or God, manifests. The inner spirit of the law in the spiritual way of life that Jesus taught and lived."

Charles Filmore :Keep a True Lent
He also noted that there is a law of spiritual and mental growth always at work in our minds. Just as nature is ever-evolving, we humans, being part of nature, are also evolving. Evolution, physical and spiritual, is a component of Divine Order.
