Unity Ministry Pillars

The Ministry pillars were created by Unity Worldwide leadership as a way to help ministers and spiritual leaders strengthen and grow the Unity worldwide movement. The pillars provide a framework for more consistent content and language between Unity ministries including the talks we write, classes we teach, and ways of describing our ministries.
The Ministry Pillars include:

-
The Fillmores – core teachings from Charles and Myrtle Fillmore and other New Thought leaders

-
Integral Ministry – incorporating multiple learning styles, varied theories that support spiritual growth, and a mission-centered approach to ministry.

-
Experiential Growth – ways of teaching and speaking that get people out of our heads and into feeling, experiencing, and demonstrating spiritual truths.

-
I.D.E.A -- Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility

-
Evolutionary Thinking/Being – continually challenging ourselves to innovate.

Spiritual Resources "The Inexhaustible Resource of Spirit is equal to every demand. There is no reality in lack. Abundance is here and now manifest."
~ Charles Fillmore, Unity Co-Founder
As noted in the previous section, there are many Charles and Myrtle Fillmore teachings that are relatable to the power of Life and many that are directly focused on our relationships with nature and with the Divine.

The spiritual power of Life also offers great opportunities to create experiential growth experiences such as listening to the melody of the Divine in birdsong as they do the daily activity of living, putting our hands on a tree, and reflecting on the life force that moves through its sap, drinking in the scent of a flower, or dancing and feeling our own aliveness.
Nature is a great example of I.D.E.A. The healthiest and most resilient ecosystems are those that have a diversity of species and many niches that various species fill. For example, pine beetles can be devastating to some forests, but if those forests have a diversity of tree species, some trees will not be as affected by the beetles and will be able to help the forest recover.
Some of the species that are most important in the web of life aren’t the prettiest or most popular. Consider the earth worm. It may make you squirm but without them our soil would lose aeration and nutrients and the entire food chain would suffer. The Unity principle of Oneness is, in fact, I.D.E.A. in action. The Divine principle of Oneness reveals the interrelation and interdependence of life as out design and is reflected in all of Creation.

"Oh Divine Life that is creating me now, I release my fears, my views, my needs. I am open. I am receptive. I receive this precious gift of life. I am energized to thrive as life, as love, as wisdom. I pray I become an instrument for the power of divine life, for the greater good of all. ”

Finally, the expansion of life in nature is the ultimate example of an evolutionary being. Nature rolls out through evolution as species adapt to changes in the conditions in which they exist. We can consciously continue to adapt and grow throughout every phase of our physical lives through inner listening to infinite Creative Intelligence we call God and continually expand our demonstration of the spiritual power of life.
Here is a brief personal message from Earth Care Core Team member, Eliasa, sharing her take on the power of Life.
