Awe means to stand amazed before the amazing.  Research on the power of awe has discovered surprising benefits.  For example, moments of awe and wonder can not only take your breath away, they can reduce stress, enhance bonding, and improve your health. These moments light up something vitally alive in each of us. They give us life because they are so replete with life energy.

You may want to go into deep wilderness to experience awe in regards to our awesome natural world but you can also do it right in your own yard, or even a median in a parking lot.  The key is to bring your attention fully into the present, focusing on the Holy Instant of now, remembering the truth of yourself as a powerful, generative spiritual being. Then look and listen very closely to a bush, a bird, a bug, a stone, whatever is before you.  No matter what it is, it is an amazing aspect of creation because every emanation of life is amazing.  The more we step into appreciation and awe, the more pure life force and joy we allow to flow.
