In our day-to-day lives, the words “wisdom” and “judgment” may appear to have different meanings. Wisdom may make us think of book learning. Judgment may lead us to dualistic thinking of right and wrong. Metaphysically we understand that the two are irrevocably intertwined. Wisdom far supersedes words. Judgment is a deeper perception of the continuum of the oneness of life – which is a very wise understanding. Wisdom is our ability to use the intelligence of our hearts to properly judge thoughts and ideas we entertain, which are anything less than the unifying Truth of oneness.
Our natural world may, at times, feel out of control. Not just the actions of humans which impact us personally, but the seasons, the weather, and the weeds that continue to grow in our gardens. We may entertain thoughts that nature is our enemy, something to be fought, controlled, and forced into compliance. Consider that our adversary is simply a force that speaks a language foreign to us. If we stop to think about it more, the real force is our resistance to being in harmony with the rhythm of nature. We have set aside our real wisdom and reverted to a type of Artificial Intelligence – artificial because it is based in the world of dualism. As soon as we settle into ‘it’ and ‘us’, what we are really saying is ‘it’ against ‘us’.

Often, our human species has taken freely without any thought of return. In doing so, we have broken the law of sacred exchange, the divine flow of universal life. Instead of being grateful recipients for all this world provides for our human self, we have become drunk with our dominion over what we consider ‘dumb’ animals and frustrated that we are subject to the whims of weather
Why have the seasons stopped being on our calendar? We have literally ravished and trashed our planet (from clear-cutting to single-use plastics) and rallied against the dramatic changes in our environment (floods and droughts, rising sea levels, poor air quality, and loss of old growth forests, to name a few of the real-life dramas.)

"Right here and now the great work of character-building is to be done, and whoever neglects present opportunities, looking forward to a future heaven for better conditions, is pulling right away from the kingdom of heaven within himself.” ."

The Twelve Powers of Man, Charles Fillmore
We are being called to use our Wisdom, and our good Judgement, to evolve a lifestyle that is harmonious with nature, not adversarial to our world: called to create a heaven on earth in place of hellish conditions.

A visit to the Amazon rainforest will offer you an experience of an abundance of life, dense vegetation teeming with insects, animals, and birds, and an abundance of predators. If one were to visit the Galapagos Islands, one would be struck by the lack of predators. In an environment that is forming and discovering ways to survive and thrive, plants and animals have found a cooperative way to live.
Our human habitat has grabbed land from all species on our planet. Yet each species has ingeniously found new ways to adapt to a changing habitat. We understand there is an innate wisdom expressed through these plants and animals and even the volcanic rock formations. Hardened lava flows that formed the islands generously give way to the tiny seed dropped from the mouth of a flying bird.

This seed lands in a minute crevasse with a tiny puddle of rainwater. The water quickens the idea of life within the seed, and the hardened ground willing gives way to the fledgling roots as life stakes its claim. This is heaven if we have the wisdom to recognize it.

"The kingdom of heaven is not so much a place as it is a way of seeing a place, or a feeling about it.”

The Week that Changed the World, Ernest Wilson

In the Mysteries of Genesis, Charles Filmore noted that wisdom/judgment is the power to discern real values and real and continuous interest. Wisdom and love are joined in God, and a perfect balance is struck in consciousness between knowing and feeling when man spiritualizes his thoughts.
