The Fillmores, Love, and Earth
Lesson 2 of 3

Myrtle and Charles Fillmore spoke and wrote a lot about the connection between love and nature.

"I was almost accused of being a nature worshiper when I was a little girl. I have always loved what I see in nature, as well as in all artists who are so close to the beauty side of God. Nature is surely the glorified face of Good. See the beauty about you and you do see the manifestation of the infinite Mind."

Myrtle Fillmore
Charles Fillmore wrote in Christian Healing:

“Nature works intelligently, and we shall never be able to conform to her laws until we approach her as we would a wise and loving mother, who, we know, gladly gives us what we want when we use it wisely. Nature is not a blind force working in darkness and ignorance. All her works indicate intelligence–mind in action.”

In Dynamics for Living, Charles Fillmore wrote:

“When love, the universal magnet, is brought into action in the consciousness of our race, it will change all our methods of supplying human wants. It will harmonize all the forces of nature and will dissolve the discords that now infest earth and air.”
The Unity EarthCare ministerial team draws on the Fillmores’ foundational teaching and example. The EarthCare vision statement is, “We envision a world in which all humanity lives in a spiritual consciousness that manifests as loving coexistence with all creation and care for our Earth home.” As the Fillmores’ taught, the spiritual power of Love is about universal unity, and not only with our fellow human beings but with all beings, all God’s creations.
